Why eat, why cook or prepare something that we’ll have to clean up afterwards?
There are, after all, other ways to go about absorbing and transmitting energy. So why go through the pain of eating food-like things that they sell at grocery stores or quick markets? Why bother?
If you’ve made the decision to eat food, why eat food-like things when you could be eat actual food?
Huh? Actual food?
Yeah, actual food refers to foods that actually occur naturally in one place or another on the planet earth without any human contact at all. These foods have been cultivated and spread all over the world these days and we, thankfully, have the choice to grow these things or buy them where ever we can find them.
Too many people still think the things they are eating everyday is food. Food, by definition, is any nutritious substance that plants or animals eat, drink, or absorb in order to maintain life and growth.
Let’s break that down.
- Nutritious Substance refers to elements necessary for growth, health, and good condition
- Plants or Animals refers to most living things on planet earth, which if you’re reading this, you still are – Congratulations! Namaste =)
- Eat, Drink, or Absorb refers to the most common forms of energy exchange that living things use to live and thrive.
- Maintain Life and Growth refers to conditions that distinguish living things from inorganic matter, which includes but is not limited to; reproduction, cognitive thought at any level, and growth which is the process of developing or maturing physically, mentally, or spiritually.
As you can see, by definition, food is what living things (you and me) use to live. The things people are eating do the opposite of what food is supposed to do. The food-like matter societies across the globe have become accustomed to consuming, although they contain some level of usable energy, in fact, suppress life and growth. The processes and systems that imitation foods go through inhibit brain functions, promotes mental and physical disease, and sets the perfect stage for cancerous cells (that are already floating around inside of us) to group together and begin to cause issues that, for some, lead to death. Death because of what was thought to be food getting consumed over a number of years. For some, the number of years is a lifetime. For others, the number of years means a life that never even had a chance to live.
This is why some many people are going crazy about organic food these days. The word organic means of, relating to, or derived from living matter. Notice the word living?
The truth is the food-like things or inorganic matter that we’ve been fooled into eating is literally, bite by bite, killing us and generations to come.
Now we have genetically modified (gmo) or genetically engineered (ge) food-like things that have been “presumed” to be nutritious substances but are actually destroying our natural functions, not to mention, every living animal that eats ge foods eventually becomes sterile, some (like pigs fed gmo corn) become sterile a lot faster. You can talk or think about gmo’s all you want but the facts are the facts. What ever you have to do to get it in your head, it is essential to learn the facts about what you’re eating. It starts with simple steps like checking labels, shopping at local farmers markets instead of mass industry grocery stores, and growing your own food.
Checking Labels – this is pretty easy to do, especially now that a lot more smart phones and tablets are walking around with people. In the store with a package in your hand, Google search every ingredient on the ingredients list, where they come from, and what they do inside of our bodies. This simple step is huge and will raise your quality of life by leaps and bounds.
Shopping at Farmer’s Markets – The farmer’s markets in your area are mostly comprised of people that grow specialized selections of fruits and vegetables as well as eggs, and some times pet foods, and training.
Growing Your Own Food – Growing your own food is a time honored tradition that humans have practice for centuries. These days there are numerous ways to grow food no matter how much space, money or time you have to put into it. You can have something as simple as a few tower gardens that will provide so much food you’ll be sharing fresh fruits and vegetables with your family and friends. If you’re a DIYer, you could build a small aqua/aeroponic farm that produces enough food for you to open your own farmers market. If you enjoy getting your hands in the dirt and being out in nature as much as you can, you can turn your home into a food forest and create a self contained ecosystem in you yard.
